Instructors: Mike Murray, Cassius Callender, Dave Miess
Join us for a summer photographic adventure through Wisconsin’s Northwoods, exploring the scenic landscapes between Minocqua and the shores of Lake Superior.
During the peak of summer, we’ll venture through a wilderness of towering forests, sparkling lakes, winding rivers, and hidden waterfalls, searching for the unique character and beauty of this iconic region.
Our days will be filled with opportunities to photograph tranquil reflections on crystal-clear lakes, lush forest interiors, historic bridges, colorful wildflowers, and the dramatic shoreline of Lake Superior. Golden morning light and long summer evenings will provide exceptional conditions for landscape photography, while quiet trails and remote locations offer a chance to slow down and connect with the natural world.
Beyond time in the field, a major focus of this adventure will be on the creative editing process, where we’ll spend dedicated time refining images, developing a stronger post-processing workflow, and learning techniques to bring out the full potential of each photograph.
This adventure is designed for photographers seeking adventure, exploration, and the opportunity to capture and create compelling images of Wisconsin’s North Woods from field to final edit.
